Adam Geary is an Assistant Professor in Gender & Women's Studies and a member of the Executive Committee of the UA Institute for LGBT Studies. His research is in critical AIDS studies, where he is writing a book exploring the role of socially-mediated, embodied vulnerability to disease in the history and current contours of the global AIDS pandemic. Professor Geary received his Ph.D. in the History of Consciousness from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 2004.
