Marshall Foundation Awards

Susana Sepulveda, GWS Ph.D. student and WOSAC Board Member, received the Marshall Foundation Dissertation Fellowship for Spring 2022. 

Elena L'Annunziate, GWS Ph.D. student received The Dr. Maria Teresa Velez Marshall Foundation Dissertation Scholarship for Spring 2022.

The University of Arizona and the Graduate College and the Louis Foucar Marshall Foundation offers Marshal Foundation Dissertation Fellowship to help Arizona graduate students to complete their doctoral dissertation. A Fellowship is offered annually for up to six students by the Marshall Foundation and a Graduate Tuition Scholarship that covers in-state base graduate tuition is provided by the Graduate College.

In Honor of Dr. Maria Teresa Velez, Associate Dean, University of Arizona Graduate College, and her lifelong commitment to promoting graduate student diversity and inclusion, the Marshall Foundation and the Graduate College established the Dr. Maria Teresa Velez doctoral completion scholarship. This award is given annually to a graduate doctoral student whose dissertation shows a significant impact to the economy of Arizona. One of the applications is selected to receive the Marshall Dissertation Fellowship is selected to receive the Dr. Velez - Marshall Dissertation Scholarship.
