About Sally Stevens Ph.D.
Sally J. Stevens, PhD, LSAC is a Distinguished Outreach Professor in Gender and Women’s Studies and a Research Professor with the Southwest Institute for Research on Women at the University of Arizona. Dr. Stevens conducts process and outcome studies in the area of health and social justice disparities, innovations in education, and workforce equity. Dr. Stevens' research focuses on women and their children, and adolescents/young adults. Much of her work involves individuals of Mexican-origin Hispanic decent and Native Americans living in southwestern United States and the examination of cultural and gender issues that are specifically applicable to these race-ethnic groups. Her work has been widely published. Findings from Dr. Stevens’ work has informed both policy and practice.
