We are delighted to announce that Dr. Jennifer Croissant is the winner of the Mary Bernard Aguirre Professorship in Gender and Women’s Studies for 2025-2026!!
The Mary Bernard Aguirre Professorship is awarded through the generosity of Rowene Aguirre-Medina and Roy Medina and honors the career of Mary (Mamie) Bernard Aguirre, by some accounts the first woman Department Head at the University of Arizona, in the Department of Spanish.
